This
workshop is for yoga
teachers and practitioners
looking to add Yin Yoga to
their practice and teaching.
We will look at the history,
physiology and principles
behind a Yin practice, and
discuss prop use in a yin
class. The workshop also
includes practice teaching
opportunities for teachers.

Stephen Shambach,RYT-500, is a
licensed massage therapist who will
soon complete his master yoga educator
certification. For the past 5 years,
Stephen has lead yoga classes and
assisted in yoga teacher training
programs in Saint Augustine, FL.
Stephen has studied with
master-teachers in various fields of
bodywork and yoga. He is a sometimes
student of Deane Juhan, author of Job’s Body, which many
consider the essential text on taking
massage to a level of personal
transformation. Stephen utilizes his
bodywork and yoga skills to
compassionately guide students towards
body awareness, improved health, and

Scott
Farber, RYT200,
holds a doctorate in aesthetic
education with over twenty years
experience as a university instructor
and professional development trainer.
He has been a teacher of yoga, t'ai
chi and meditation for more than 30
years. A graduate of Discovery Yoga
Teacher Training, he also studied at
Kripalu Center, in Osho ashrams, with
Amrit Desai, and with Don
& Amba Stapleton in Costa Rica. He
is a certified Let Your Yoga Dance
instructor, has been a teacher of T'ai
Chi Ch'uan since 1984, and is trained
in TM, Kabbalah, Buddhist and Arica
meditation, as well as the sacred drum
tradition of Babatunde Olatunji. Scott
has taught in Hawaii, Asia, Europe and
Central America as well as throughout
the U.S., in ashrams and clinics,
schools and universities, spas and
retreat centers. His integrative
healing sessions blend Eastern and
Western bodywork modalities with sound
therapy, BEMER therapy, and aquatic
therapy. Scott has a holistic health
and wellness business called 5
Waves Learning. He
spends part of each year in Costa
Rica where he is an avid surfer and
waterman.
