THE BASICS TAKEN DEEPER
Saturday,
February 22: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Delve deeper into
the postures you practice all the time. Nothing
fancy, postures you already know. Triangle,
warrior, and sun salutation are just some of the
asanas we will take to a new level of
understanding. We will explore alignment,
anatomy and variations that will allow you to
deepen your practice in any class as well as in
your personal practice. There will be time for
questions and discussion. The workshop is
appropriate for both students and teachers as we
develop improved internal awareness and increase
our observation skills.
BACK-BENDS
Saturday, February 22: 2-6 p.m.
Energize your
Spine!! Experience many aspects of the
back-bend: supine, prone, balancing, active and
passive. We will explore the muscular and
energetic anatomy involved in bending backward
as we move towards a full back-bend with an open
heart and strong body.
HIP-OPENERS
Sunday, February 23: 8:30
a.m.-12:30
Explore the complex anatomy of the hips and pelvis
through a combination of yin and yang style
asanas. This workshop will allow you time to
let go, release deeper, discover more fully.
INVERSIONS AND ARM BALANCES
Sunday, February 23: 2-6 p.m.
Explore balancing on our hands and turning
upside-down. Bring a sense of humor and an
attitude of non-judgment as we experiment with a
variety of balances. We will also be focusing on
the preparations for these asanas through
strengthening and alignment to get you started on
these invigorating practices.
