Discovery Yoga approaches the practice of yoga in the spirit of exploration and discovery and uses yogic techniques as tools for physical and mental well-being, self discovery and spiritual attunement. It also provides the flexibility for each individual to approach the practice of yoga at his or her own level of ability.

   Discovery Yoga classes are more than just exercise.   In addition to our focus on physical and mental practices that build health, reduce stress, and retard the aging process, we also provide the resources, support and environment to increase your capacity for self discovery and spiritual attunement. Coming together with like minded others in the spirit of Yoga creates a group energy that allows for deeper experiences of connection with Self.

More than eleven million Americans practice yoga as a means for managing stress, promoting health, retarding the aging process and creating a more meaningful life. This 200 hour professional training program is designed to provide training and experience for the career-minded student of yoga to gain the skills and confidence necessary to become an effective yoga teacher. Those certified in this training will be eligible to register with the national YOGA ALLIANCE®, listed in the national Yoga Teachers Registry and allowed to use the registry mark, RYT (registered yoga teacher) in resumes, advertisements and other promotional materials.
