Join us for an invigorating weekend
of yoga, stand-up paddleboarding,
and SUP yoga. This
immersive nature retreat includes field trips
to Salt Springs and Matanzas Inlet.
Activities include studio
yoga, yin yoga and yoga nidra; an
introduction to paddleboarding; swimming
in a beautiful
artesian spring; dolphin
and wildlife viewing; t'ai
chi & qigong warmups; and
SUP yoga--i.e.
doing yoga on a paddleboard!

Scott
Farber, Ph.D.,
LMT, RYT 200, has a
doctorate in philosophy
and education and over
thirty years of experience
as a teacher of yoga, tai
chi and meditation. A
graduate of Discovery Yoga
Teacher Training, he was
introduced to yoga by
Amrit Desai. He has
been teaching t'ai chi
& qigong since 1984,
and is
trained
in TM, Kabbalah, Buddhist
and Arica meditation, as
well as African drumming.
Scott began surfing as a
boy and has
traveled
the globe in search of
waves, living in Hawaii,
Bali, and Costa Rica. As an avid
waterman-surfer,
paddleboarder,
and swimmer, he
knows the
healing,
rejuvenating
power of water.
His
integrative
bodywork sessions
blend Eastern and
Western modalities
with sound therapy,
BEMER therapy, and
aquatic therapy. He
has a holistic
health and wellness
educational
consulting business
called 5
Waves Learning.
Emily
Johnson, RYT200, a
certified yoga
instructor, is also
a certified paddleboarding
and kiteboarding
instructor through the ACA
& IKO (American Canoe
Association &
International Kiteboarding
Organization). Emily's
love for the water and
nature began at a young
age, practicing paddling
on her mother's old
windsurfer. In her spare
time she enjoys cooking,
fishing, surfing and
aerial yoga.
Emily
and her husband Cory own
and operate Ocean Extreme
Sports, which educates and
instructs lessons in
paddleboarding &
kiteboarding in Northeast
Florida. She has taught
paddleboarding for five
years and brought
paddleboard yoga into
their business in 2014.
Emily takes her love and
joy for yoga to the beach
and out in nature as much
as possible. She is up to
date with First Aid &
CPR training and takes
safety extremely
serious.
