word wellness with increasing frequency, but what is it and how does it
relate to yoga?
Through recognizing wellness as the original setting for all yoga
practices, we can deepen and expand the benefits of yoga, and
awaken
more of our whole human potential. Through learning an integrated
approach to well-being rooted in yogic principles and practices, we
develop a more fulfilling, humane way of life that also benefits those
we connect with.

In this seminar the
focus is on wellness as an entire way of
life, and yoga as a core set of lifetime skills. Building on this
foundation in yoga, you will learn how to deepen, expand and integrate
into your entire life enhanced, practical awareness of your:
Physical
Body – develop a core approach to yoga that fully integrates
asana with pranayama to:
• open, lengthen and
strengthen the core of your body
• develop joint
stability and mobility in your spine,
hips, knees and shoulders
• support chronic
pain release throughout your
life
• enhance strength,
flexibility and stamina for daily
walking, sitting, and standing
• detoxify and
strengthen all your body’s systems -
organs, glands, cardio-pulmonary, etc.
Emotions
and
Energy – learn breathing practices that can be used,
even in the midst of crisis, to:
•
increase personal
energy and counteract fatigue
• reduce stress and
calm anxiety
• clarify your
thinking and enhance mental focus
• pacify your
emotions relax your nervous system
• release emotional
contractions and open inner
spaciousness
Mind
– explore a series of Tibetan Buddhist mind-training practices
that enable you to:
• counteract
depression
and
dissolve negativity
• release doubt,
fear and worry
• open the heart and
clarify choices
• strengthen
kindness and deepen compassion
• develop a more
fulfilled and generous life
