everywhere, for a weekend of what he describes as "the best of my 45
years of experience distilled into one weekend." The intention of the
weekend is to help students progress quickly along their path of yoga.
Dharma will teach asana for mixed levels as well as the traditional
classical yogaic principles of renunciation, dispassion, reverence,
self-realization, surrender to the Lord, and love for one and all.

postures (asana) and beneficial variations
- Breathing techniques (pranayama)
- Purification/cleansing techniques (kriya)
- Meditation with powerful and efficient methods
(dhyana) and psychic development
- The traditional observances of classical yoga

Dharma Mittra is founder and
director of the Dharma Yoga Center in New
York City. He has studied and practiced the eight limbs of yoga since
1958. After his initiation as a sannyasi (one who renounces the world
in order to realize God), Dharma began teaching classical yoga in 1967.
He has introduced tens of thousands of people to the practice of yoga
and trained hundreds of yoga teachers. Known worldwide for his classic
Master Yoga Chart of 908 Postures, he is the author of Asanas: 608 Yoga
Poses.
